The service

Stubpoint creates public temporary response endpoints for API testing, demos, and development workflows. It is a best-effort testing tool, not a production service dependency.

There is no SLA, uptime guarantee, durability guarantee, or guarantee that any endpoint will always be available.

Public endpoints

Endpoints are public to anyone with the URL. They are not private, secret, or access-controlled.

Do not put secrets, API keys, passwords, tokens, private customer data, production data, regulated data, or anything sensitive in an endpoint response.

Endpoint retention and deletion

Endpoints expire after 7 days without traffic.

Stubpoint may remove, disable, block, or make endpoints unavailable earlier for abuse prevention, security, operational reasons, legal reasons, policy violations, or service maintenance.

Service limits

Endpoint size, headers, methods, active endpoint limits, request limits, rate limits, and other restrictions are part of the service.

These limits may change as Stubpoint grows or as needed to keep the service reliable and usable. Changes apply going forward where relevant and do not change existing endpoint contents unless required for security, abuse prevention, or operational reasons.

Your content

You are responsible for the content you create and return through Stubpoint endpoints.

You give Stubpoint permission to host, store, process, and return that content as needed to provide the service until the endpoint expires, is removed, or is otherwise unavailable.

Stubpoint may process request and endpoint metadata for service operation, debugging, rate limiting, abuse prevention, security, and basic analytics. See the Privacy Policy for more information.

Acceptable use

Do not use Stubpoint for illegal content, credential collection, phishing, malware, spam, harassment, impersonation, evading security controls, attempts to disrupt the service, or testing systems you are not authorized to test.

Do not use Stubpoint to host production-critical responses, sensitive data, or content that could cause harm if accessed publicly.

Abuse prevention

Traffic may be rate-limited, blocked, filtered, or otherwise restricted to keep Stubpoint usable.

Stubpoint may investigate or restrict usage that appears abusive, automated in a harmful way, or inconsistent with temporary API testing.

Recipes and static endpoints

Recipes, status endpoints, and simple presets are testing helpers. They may be added, removed, renamed, or changed as Stubpoint improves.

Recipes and presets do not create stored endpoints until you submit the normal create form.

No production reliance

Use Stubpoint only where temporary failure, expiry, rate limits, public access, or response changes will not harm production systems, users, or business operations.

No warranties

Stubpoint is provided as is and as available. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, permanent, or suitable for any particular purpose.

Changes

We may update these terms as Stubpoint changes. The current version will stay available here.
